Luz Emery 2.0

This whisky was discontinued in 2004. I came across a bottle at a new liquor store that I believe had acquired the remaining stock from a closed store. I could not find much information on this whisky, so I'm writing this in case you also find a bottle. Smell- Mostly absent. Smells like ethanol. Lemon polish. Insect repellent. Taste- Ethanol/grain alcohol. Damp cardboard. Red Delicious apples without the skin. Unripe Bartlett pear. Pie crust. A faint hint of smoke that might just be more cardboard. Finish- A short, fading imitation of the taste. Gradually thins out to a grain alcohol flavor. As terrible as it sounds, this is mostly just an uninspired whisky. It was clearly intended to be mixed with soda. Or even better, Drambuie. If you are not buying it for the novelty, you could find better mixers like Cutty Sark or Ballantine's for a cheap price. I improved this whisky by using a suggestion from a friend: adding a grilled oak stick and a tablespoon of maple syrup. It made a big difference. https://youtu.be/bN-1mNqCLpc
