Mars Komagatake 30 Year American White Oak Cask

Sampled this as part of a tasting featuring six half-ounce pours. Other participants included Hakushu 18, Yamazaki 18, Hibiki 21, Ichiro Port Pipe, and Yoichi 20. This was the standout of the evening, offering notes of vanilla, caramel, chocolate, nutty marzipan, spices, strawberries, orange, and a creamy texture.
