The first impression on the palate is a smooth, nutty flavor reminiscent of banana bread, with a subtle sweetness. As it fades in the finish, the sweetness diminishes somewhat, leaving me with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Nevertheless, I found this sip pleasing and believe it offers more complexity than the standard Maker's Mark offering.
