Maker's Mark Cask Strength Batch 21-07 (109.3 Proof)

Aroma: Predominantly maple syrup with hints of banana and alcohol. Taste: Cereal and chocolate notes followed by candied fruit. Aftertaste: The sweetness disappears rapidly, with a brief return of the banana scent from the aroma, then some remaining oak char. Generally, not as intricate as prior batches, but still a satisfying drink.

Caramel corn and maple on the nose. More of the same on the palate with some char and perhaps pine nut. Overall, a bit bland.

Loads of oak, perhaps too much. It was quite harsh neat and took a considerable time to finish.
