Maker's Mark Cask Strength Batch 21-03 (109.4 Proof)

With the bumbling criminals that run our country at the helm, the supply chains are broken to the point that the once ubiquitous Makers Mark is now unavailable. This has forced me to dive into my reserves of cask strength and served to remind me how great these are, what value they provide, and how sad it is that many may never know the silky touch of its velvet hand. This is strong, smooth, rich, and manly. It’s a shame for you, dear reader of this worthless review, that you aren't here sharing it with me. But you're not. And now it's gone. Just like the mind of Our Dear Leader.

This offers tremendous value for the price. The nose has very soft grain notes mingled with sweet traditional characteristics, which transition just as softly onto the palate. Even at 110 proof, it presents a pleasant tingle on the front of the palate. The finish is the least impressive aspect of the profile. It's short to medium in length with a slight bitterness, but not excessively so. This should be a staple in your collection.

I've sampled two different batches of ECBP so far; this Cask Strength version has been among my top choices, alongside 21-03. Pleasant caramel scent, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Smooth on the palate with a mild sting after swallowing. If you spot it on the shelf, get it! You absolutely won't be let down!

Nose: Brown sugar, vanilla wafer, baking spices. Palate: Roasted peanuts, toffee, oak, cinnamon. Finish: Baking spices, pepper, oak, cinnamon. Quite dry and warm. Fantastic bourbon!
