About this bottle

Lost Distillery is a blender of malt whisky specializing in recreating Scotch from less well-known, closed distilleries. Gerston, situated in Halkirk, Caithness, existed in two forms: initially from 1796 to 1882 as a small-scale peated whisky producer owned by the Swanson family with an annual capacity of 80,000 gallons, and later from 1886 to 1914 as a larger, more corporate unpeated production facility. The Lost Distillery rendition of Gerston is based on historical records and detailed analysis of factors influencing its flavor, such as local water and grain sources, peat, still type, and wooden barrels. The vintage version of Gerston is a blend of malts aged between 15 and 38 years.
