Connecticut micro-distillery Litchfield offers Double Barrel Bourbon as part of its Batchers' series. While waiting for its own spirits to age, the distillery sourced an 8-year-old bourbon, batched it to 88 proof, and then further aged it in new barrels at their facility.

Nose: resembles grape cough syrup and a damp locker room. Quite unappealing aromatically! Taste: a light citrus flavor but... Eh, it's just not good. The odd smell makes it very difficult to appreciate the taste.
This is now a decade old; the packaging has been updated. It's smooth, mellow, with a pleasant spice.
