In the past, cachaça was a beverage for relaxation or to help endure the severe cold in the Santa Rita de Caldas area of southern Minas Gerais. It also helped liven up gatherings. Back then, the spirit was known as a common and very potent drink, eventually becoming the region's preferred choice. After years of diligent research and careful selection of ingredients, committed to maintaining its origins and preserving time-honored customs, Cachaça Prosa Mineira was created in 2010, presenting refinement and excellence as its sensory hallmarks. It's no surprise it has earned 26 accolades. The entire cachaça production in the still is done manually, with all the necessary care and attention to craft a distinguished spirit with a distinct personality. The producer has complete command over all aspects of the process. Consequently, when consumers obtain Cachaça Prosa Mineira, they can not only savor a superior drink but also perceive the dedication invested throughout its creation. When we discuss quality, we primarily mean the judicious selection of the principal ingredient for cachaça: sugar cane. Therefore, the still features a nursery for seedlings and cultivation, as they believe quality originates from the very beginning. The sugar cane's maturation phase to achieve an optimal brix level (sugar content) for fermentation, along with cultivation in suitable climate and soil conditions, are elements that significantly impact the final outcome of the cachaça. Most liqueurs are made with neutral spirits, lacking distinctive sensory qualities. However, so-called cachaça liqueurs are quite prevalent in Brazil. As the name implies, these liqueurs utilize cachaça as the foundational spirit in the blend. Many are crafted from the infusion of fruits and spices like jabuticaba, orange, passion fruit, chocolate, or coffee with cachaça. This particular offering contains only cachaça, without any fruits, vegetables, or other additions. As per the regulatory guidelines from MAPA (Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply), liqueurs are categorized as alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content between 15% and 54% at twenty degrees Celsius, and a sugar content exceeding thirty grams per liter. Observations: Clear and slightly cloudy appearance, with slow, widely spaced, abundant legs on the glass. It has a sweet scent, like fruit preserves, and a pleasant sweetness on the palate, with the cachaça base evident, integrated alcohol, and a medium-to-long finish.
