This bourbon whiskey has a honey gold color and leaves thin, viscous trails. The aroma is unusual and quite distinct; it has a scent of warm, damp pond moss, reminiscent of my parents’ pond in the summer. Other scents include wet straw, dusty corn, boiled carrots, and candy corn. The taste is straightforward with an oily mouthfeel. It has notes of honey, bitter herbs, Froot Loops cereal, and yeasty bread. The finish is medium-length, dry, and grassy. This bourbon was very unconventional. It lacked many typical “bourbon notes,” so if you're looking for a unique experience within the bourbon category, this is for you. However, I wasn't a huge fan.
