I went to a few different GA distilleries, took some tours and whiskey flights, and brought home a handful of new bottles. I had a good time at this distillery. I dig the atmosphere and what they're doing there. A local, small company with a unique distilling method. Regarding this specific bourbon: Appearance: pale gold Smell: peanuts and corn, a little vanilla. First taste: peanuts, grass, dry hay, corn. It has a bit of an earthy Irish whisky feel. Not sweet at all. It's incredibly smooth with no burn. To put it poetically, the flavor reminds me of spending a day cutting tall grass in the Georgia heat. I didn't sample it with water. I ought to. End: medium length. The earthy character really stands out. I typically favor sweeter bourbons, and I don't usually care for earthy scotch or Irish whisky. However, I don't immediately dislike this one. It's like a mix of Knob Creek and Jameson. I'm not sure this is one I'd automatically choose to drink straight (again, I prefer sweeter bourbons), but I would use it in a mixed drink that called for scotch or Irish whisky.
