Lauder's Finest

Lauder's Blended Scotch 🤷‍♂️ Appearance 🧐; Pale straw color, Smell 👃; Sweet notes of caramel and malt, with a hint of fruit at the end, Taste 👅; Light spice and smoke, caramel, a slight dryness, Finish 🇫🇮; Smooth, medium duration with more fruit, mainly apricots and apples, 6 / 10 🥃 It's a bit too light and smooth for my preference; although it's well-balanced, I desire something that invigorates me more.

Fairly priced, but not as mellow as Clan McGregors, which I usually prefer. It starts sweet and mellow, but the lingering aftertaste detracts. It does go down easily, though.

Consumed neat. My usual scotch was unavailable, so I sampled this. The aroma is very mild, it feels okay on the tongue with no harshness and a touch of sweetness. It goes down smoothly and mildly.

There's possibly a faint hint of cut grass in the flavor, and focusing solely on that makes it unpleasant. No harshness. No lingering taste. Disappointing.

This is a $10 bottle of Scotch, and it tastes like it. It's acceptable if you're okay with $10 Scotch.

Tasted a 1977 bottle. The aroma is unpleasant, and the flavor is not good.
