LASSALETI LONDON DRY GIN

This gin honors its maker's grandfather. The name's roots are in a Marian apparition. This spirit from Minas Gerais, first made in 2020, is a London Dry Gin using only the distilled HEART. It features 18 FRESH botanicals: Juniper, Coriander, Pitanga, Licorice, Almonds, Sicilian Lemon, Ginger, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Pink Pepper, Hibiscus, Bahian Orange, Tangerine, Angelica, Pacová, Jamaica Pepper, Lavender, and Cucumber. Tasting notes: “An intriguing, unusual scent with earthy, herbal tones, abundant turmeric, and ginger. The taste is refined, quite peppery, and not too earthy, with plenty of juniper and a hint of citrus. It's full of character and develops nicely on the palate.” It won a GOLD MEDAL IN BRUSSELS in 2021. Review: “Pale hue. A burst of scents on the nose, revealing citrus, lemon, floral, and spice notes. Hints of juniper, ginger, nuts, and allspice. Lively and crisp, with flavors spanning citrus to spice. A dry profile with a distinct juniper character. An excellent blend of aromas with great balance, a soft texture, and an exceptionally enduring finish.” The foundation of typical gin is quality grain alcohol; ours is derived from corn. We distill using a copper still with steam baskets. Our water comes from an artesian well in Minas Gerais, providing purity and balance. Juniper, the primary component of GIN, is sourced from Italy and Germany to ensure consistency and quality. Pitanga, our star ingredient, provides Brazilian flair with floral and herbal notes. To highlight native ingredients, we included Pacová, similar to Cardamom, offering spicy and refreshing notes. Bahia Orange, Sicilian Lemon, and Tangerine contribute citrus and floral notes, balancing the profile. Lavender and Cucumber were added to the steam basket for a delicate infusion of freshness and smoothness during distillation.
