Kendall Gresham 2.8

Nose - Vanilla, light syrup, a trace of artificial cherry, grain spirits, and faint green grass. Palate - Medium to light body, sweet, with vanilla and molasses, balanced by white pepper, a soft wheat texture, and traditional wheat smoothness. A bit more intricate than a standard Larceny. A late hint of baking spices emerges. Faint spearmint. Adding a little water softens the intensity, broadens the profile, enhances the spice and light pine and oak notes, but diminishes its overall interest. Finish - Intriguing, though not overly complex. Sweet, berry notes, a small spicy kick, moderate warmth but enjoyable. The warmth becomes more pronounced with further sips. A lingering tongue and cheek numbness. Not overwhelmingly impressive, but has decent staying power. A trace of peanut on the finish. Overall - A superb introductory sipper. Doesn't align with my definition of bourbon characteristics. However, I would consider it for an experimental beginner's pour. It seems a bit young, but well-crafted for its age.

This is the bourbon I would reach for if I were introducing someone to the category. It's light, easy to drink, and (much as I dislike admitting it) silky. The aroma is inviting, though not very potent. The taste offers a gentle richness with a hint of spice. The finish offers a bit of warmth but the taste stays the same from start to finish. All in all, it's a mild and pleasant drink that both beginners and discerning bourbon drinkers can enjoy.

I really liked this, finding it very smooth and would definitely buy a bottle.
