You know, it's not bad by itself. It's definitely better as a mixer. Dry smell with a hint of acetone, strong alcohol taste but a spicy dry finish. Not very sweet. It was my grandpa's preferred choice - and for $23 a bottle, I can understand why.
Excellent served on the rocks; no other additions are necessary. This is not something I often say about rum.
A mellow rum. Easy to consume. Newfoundland's top rum.
