A very enjoyable and easy-drinking dram, sweet and welcoming; pleasant on the nose and not harsh on the palate. This is a blended Scotch whisky primarily sold in France, with Glen Moray as its main malt component. It has a chestnut oloroso sherry color and is bottled at 40% ABV. The nose is intensely sweet, almost dessert-like. Notes of sweet cinnamon, hazelnut, and cooked fruit, particularly cooked apples with cinnamon and sugar, reminiscent of hot apple pie. A very pleasant sweet honey/caramel/cinnamon aroma, with no alcohol presence, and a creamy nose. Cereal notes are also present. The palate begins sweet with honey/pudding caramel notes. Very pleasant hints of herbal vanilla, a touch of new oak, and a good balance between spice and sweetness, though not complex. It's very creamy, strongly evoking honey corn flakes. The finish is medium-long, with cinnamon spice that isn't harsh at all. There's a slight warmth in the throat, but it doesn't burn. Faint hints of clove are also detected. This is a commendable dram and clearly explains its popularity as France's favorite blended whisky. A solid score of 85 out of 100 for a blend.
