Sweetheart of the Rodeo is a straight bourbon that is distilled in Indiana and aged in Texas. The mash bill consists of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. It is aged for four years in new American oak barrels with a char level of #3 and bottled at 90 proof.

The aroma is like a caramel pie with a hint of corn and orchard fruit and a slight vegetal quality, but it largely comes across as a standard bourbon. The palate has a high-rye profile with a good amount of spice and hits the right notes for a 'standard bourbon.' The finish is sweet and straightforward, with just enough spice and oak to keep it engaging.
Notes of cherry, apple, caramel, and vanilla. The palate is sweet with toasted caramel, blackberries, and peach.
Not as sweet as anticipated; the mash contains too much corn for my preference.
