Aroma - Oak spice, caramel, cinnamon spice, mint, citrus fruit, potent alcohol vapor. Taste - Honey, caramel and brown sugar, vanilla, oak. Finish - Brief sweetness, prolonged spice and alcohol burn. This is an outstanding whiskey that overwhelms with its flavors. The aroma presents a hint of oak, followed by baking spices and fruit. The taste starts with honey. For me, it evokes memories of my great Grandmother, who always had fresh honey. She was a beekeeper who traveled from town to town selling her honey. Following the honey, there's brown sugar and caramel, then vanilla, and finally a hint of oak from the aroma carries through. On the finish, the sweetness disappears quickly, but it's succeeded by a longer spice that tingles the tongue and warms from the high proof. Highly recommended.
