About this bottle
Fuji-Gotemba Distillery, one of the world's largest, is located at an altitude of 2000 feet in the Japanese Chūbu region's Mount Fuji foothills. This location provides a cool, low-humidity climate akin to Scotland. Established in Gotemba City in 1972, the distillery focuses on malt and grain whiskies, primarily for Japanese blends. This particular bottling, one of the first for the international market, is made from malted barley imported from Ireland and Scotland. It has been aged for seventeen years and is bottled at 46% ABV.
