About this bottle

The Glengyle Distillery, established by William Mitchell in 1872, ceased distilling operations in 1925 and was subsequently used for various non-distilling purposes. In 2000, after a seventy-five-year hiatus, Glengyle reopened, becoming Campbeltown's oldest newly operating distillery. It sources its water from Crosshill Loch, mirroring its neighbor Springbank. This bottling was released in 2014 with a production of 9000 bottles.

Lindsay Lowery 1.5

I don't enjoy this. It's not to my taste. Immediately, I detected the smell of new tires. On the palate, that same rubbery note with some light honey and floral undertones. I can see why some people appreciate it; it's just not for me.

Carson Apodaca

An absolutely fantastic addition to the world of single malts. The first WIP release was exceptional for its age, and everything since has been superb. The WIP 6 aged in sherry casks is absolutely divine!

Eden Lyle 4.0

C&B 8/16. A blend of peat and sherry, with notes of dark, bitter chocolate. A slightly bitter aftertaste.
