A combination of 1999 and 2000 vintages, bottled in 2012 from 77 European Oak Sherry Casks. This is my initial experience with a Karuizawa, and it was definitely worth trying. The smell included Chocolate, Toffee, Cherry, Sherry, Apricot, Floral, Apricot, Vanilla, and Almonds. The taste featured Rum Raisins, Pepper, Chocolate, Hazelnuts, and Rubber. The aftertaste consisted of Cherry, Chocolate, Raspberry, Pepper, Raisins, and Toasted Barley.

Blind tasting. Really intense chocolate flavor.
