Nose: sweet caramel, cinnamon, sugar maple, and wood polish. Palate: bold cedar, fragrant sandalwood, satisfying chewy malt. Faint touch of licorice, subtle smoke and char. A bit of dark plum. Finish: cedar wood, warming spices. Overall, a truly distinctive adventure. It's uncommon to encounter a whisky with a cedar finish. I don't anticipate drinking this every day, but its singular character and merit make me think I'd sometimes crave it, enough to have it on hand.
