Named in honor of Jacob Beam, the founder and first distiller of Jim Beam, and the initial clear whiskey style he produced, Jacob's Ghost represents a modern interpretation. Two centuries later, Jim Beam offers a white whiskey that utilizes the same mash bill as their Original. It is aged for one year in new oak, then treated to impart color. This spirit is designed for both straight consumption and mixing in cocktails. Master Distiller Fred Noe has stated, "This is not another white dog put in a bottle."

It reminds me of corn liquor with a touch of rye. I'm a fan of Stillhouse whiskey, but this misses the delightful caramel corn flavor I associate with Stillhouse. I suppose I anticipated something more. But then, this is mass-produced liquor.
Subtle barley notes. Sweet on the palate. Lacking substance, with a very brief finish.
Very unremarkable, though it tastes better than the brand's standard offering.
While not terrible, it doesn't taste like a proper bourbon.
