The nose is strongly vanilla with a slight ethanol presence. A great aroma. The first sip is surprisingly sweet, with notes of vanilla, well-worn leather, floral elements, and pecan. Despite being barrel proof and over 116 proof, it doesn't have a severe burn; the burn is as smooth as the liquid itself. This can easily be enjoyed neat. An ice cube brings out some peppery undertones, softens the burn, and enhances the lingering taste and full mouthfeel. This one is excellent all around. You'll enjoy it no matter how you drink it! I highly recommend it!

Spicy, with molasses and cherry notes. This was my preferred drink of the evening.
Peppery, with a lengthy conclusion.
