The nose is subtle, with dry wine notes, a gentle spicy oak character, and the faintest traces of caramel and vanilla. The palate tastes akin to a fortified wine aged in oak, with caramel and vanilla following. The finish is of medium length and moist, where the vanilla truly emerges as it fades slowly and pleasantly, preceding all other flavors. It's unique and straightforward, yet enjoyable.

A private barrel selection from The Party Source in Freeport, Kentucky. It arrived quickly. It coats the tongue adequately, but offers no sensation at the back of the mouth or throat. While most aromas present oak, this one yielded pine sawdust. Vanilla and slight pepper notes were detected in the taste.

Abundant vanilla. Minimal wood influence. No spice. Smooth and sweet.

A pleasant bourbon to drink straight. I regret not buying more.
