The aroma is light, a little sweet. It drinks smoothly, but it's young so the first few sips are a little raw. Spicy, citrus, and maybe some sweet honey. Really fantastic for its price point and good enough to sip straight. I find it opens up a bit on ice.

About this bottle
Hiram Walker's Master Blender, Dr. Don Livermore, developed J.P. Wiser's Double Still Rye to honor the brand's rye tradition using contemporary methods. This Canadian whisky combines two rye distillates. The first is copper column-distilled and then pot-distilled to intensify rye characteristics, blended with a second rye traditionally copper pot-distilled. These whiskies are aged four to nine years and are bottled at 43.4% ABV, currently available only within Canada.

A superb example of Canadian rye, and at an even better cost. This has become my go-to budget rye. I've always kept a bottle stocked since I found it.
