Cinnamon and corn with an acceptable initial flavor. A pleasant rye spice finish with a smoothness not typical for straight bourbons. Much to appreciate, but nothing outstanding.
Some good flavors are present. It’s not a flowery wheat, but rather bready. However, it comes across as quite young. Plenty of sweet corn and oak.
Aromatics offer hints of pepper and citrus. The palate brings forth notes of maple, citrus, and spice, along with custard. A brief finish lingers with a subtle spice.
Total Wine certified barrel 200. Decent, for its age. However, its youth is apparent when aged two years or less.
Too much winter wheat for my liking.
Tastes like potent whiskey.
