About this bottle
The Baczewski family established a distillery in Lwow in 1782, receiving the Imperial Eagle mark from the Austrian Empire in 1810. The family continued producing spirits until World War II. Following the war, Eduard Gessler, an Austrian spirit producer, acquired the Baczewski brand and resumed production at his Vienna distillery. Today, the distillery continues to offer Baczewski brand products, including J.A. Baczewski dry gin. This gin uses a base spirit triple distilled from potatoes. Juniper berries, coriander, aniseed, ginger, dill, and orange and lemon peel are added as botanicals. This gin, which won a Gold Medal at the 2014 World Spirits Awards, is bottled at 43.5% ABV.

For a potato-based spirit, it's uniquely standard. It delivers pure juniper, robust woodland aromas, and an ideal alcohol level.
