Islay mist the original peated blend

I am new to whiskey tasting, but here goes... Nose: Not much, but faint sweetness and some smoke. Not much alcohol. Taste: Sweet, not bourbon sweet, but probably some cask influence. Some smoke and what I guess is peat; I noted a streak of salmiak (sweet and salty licorice) but it wasn't heavy at all. Conclusions: I am new to whiskey and have never really liked smoky spirits. But this was really good; the sweetness was familiar, having had some experience with bourbon. The smoky notes were really pleasant, something new for me. I think I will try and find some other peated/smoked whiskey now that the door has been opened. I would not mind another sip of this one either.

Aroma: Gentle smoky peat and a whisper of sweetness in the glass. When worked between the hands, a distinct scent of sesame seeds emerges. Taste: The pleasing peat smoke is followed by oak notes and a floral sweetness. Aftertaste: Similar to the taste, with peat and oak. As someone new to discerning whiskies, this blend is truly a pleasure.

Mild peated smell. Gentle burned wood with a burn that stays within the mouth, not too much sweetness but very enjoyable.

Smoky and overwhelmingly sweet. Very good value for money and a smoky starter whisky.

The best smoky house whisky. Perfect for topping up after an Islay single malt.

Has a weird taste, I can't quite place it. I do not recommend.
