Iron Smoke Single Barrel (The Wine Cellar)

The aroma is a burst of dried flowers, fresh fruit, and a hint of spearmint, with faint traces of charred oak and caramel. The palate primarily resides on the front of the mouth and the middle of the tongue, featuring soft pepper and dry oak with a slight creaminess, but overall it's somewhat lacking in complexity. The finish is medium, with a lingering warm spice that becomes almost chewy as dry oak fades at the back of the mouth. There isn't a great deal to experience with this whiskey as it's a bit too straightforward. However, it is enjoyable for what it is, though the applewood smoke on the wheat isn't particularly evident.
