About this bottle

Infuse Spirits Broken Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon, now discontinued, starts with a sourced 116 proof bourbon. This bourbon is crafted from corn, rye, and barley. It is then transferred to steel tanks where it is infused with new French oak, ex-bourbon barrel elements, and a mix of sherry cask staves. The bottling occurs at its original cask strength.

Remarkable flavor and exceptionally smooth for 116 proof. A single large ice cube allows me to savor this for an extended period. I truly adore this whiskey and am astonished it cost only $40.00. An outstanding value. The label states it was crafted with Passion and Purpose, which I believe is how all whiskey should be made. I don't think you can make a mistake with this one.

Terra Holm 4.0

The nose has cake batter and an overwhelming scent of melted butter, plus maraschino cherries as it sits, along with wood cask and snickerdoodles. The palate is velvety and rich. It has notes of caramel and warmth, not pronounced given the cask strength. A slight mineral finish.

Cullen Heredia 4.0

Batch number five. The aroma is french vanilla, oak, and burnt sugar. The flavor consists of caramel, oak, and vanilla, with the vanilla being especially noticeable. The aftertaste has corn and rye, with toasted bread.

Red hot, cherry-cinnamon on the nose. Pleasant. It loses me in the taste....reminiscent of Elmer's glue, a hint of maraschino cherry quickly followed and overpowered by the taste of burnt Michelin tires from a 1996 Accord.

Trista Thorne 2.0

The aroma is like cherry cordial. The taste features Red Hots and dried, spiced cherries. It's sharp with ethanol and lacks the sweet foundation I typically seek in bourbons.

Rowan Moe 4.0

This is definitely tasty stuff, even if the method is unusual. The sherry is prominent and warming, yet it goes down smoothly with a velvety texture. Great job.
