Pale in color with a light body. It tastes young, but is certainly not bad. The higher rye content (36%) provides considerable spice, yet the lower alcohol percentage keeps it light. Corn sweetness emerges on the finish, remaining alongside the alcohol. I find it appealing, but a bit more barrel aging and a higher proof would enhance it considerably.

Vanilla, caramel, spiced fruitcake, with an oaky conclusion that brings it all together. It possesses a wonderful, buttery texture that coats your mouth and throat but doesn't overstay its welcome. I genuinely enjoyed it and it met all my criteria during an indecisive moment. It will be a regular fixture in my collection.
