This small batch bourbon, distilled in Indiana, consists of whiskey aged between seven and nine years. It utilizes two mash bills with high rye content: one at 21% rye and the other at 35% rye. The rye grain originated in Northern Europe, and the corn was sourced from Ohio and Indiana. New charred oak barrels, featuring char #4 staves and char #2 heads, were used for maturation. This bourbon is bottled at 46% ABV.

Among the better mid-range bourbons suitable for enjoying straight. The bourbon's sweetness is delightful. It’s mellow on the tongue, with a vanilla-like quality in the chew and finish.
I was initially impressed upon tasting, but less so on a second attempt. A third tasting will be necessary to decide. It had a more oily texture, similar to Breckinridge.
Very smooth with a slight bite in the middle of the swallow. Notes of caramel and a touch of apple. Quite good. A nice addition to the collection. Similar to EC.
The aroma is familiar and pleasant. It's smooth and sweet, with a short, slightly tart finish. Not overly complicated and nothing unpleasant. 7/21/18

The barrel aging is noticeable, but the #2 char level on the barrels results in a stronger grain flavor than wood notes.
