High West American Prairie Bourbon Barrel Select PX Sherry Cask

This is another success from the series that unfortunately we will likely never see again because the highly successful West sold out to the soulless corporation that has ruined so many brands before it. However, as a final act and a sad memento of what once was and could have been but now is not and will not be again, this is an excellent way to conclude the journey. This series has been outstanding, and this one is no exception, if you'll pardon my clumsy wording. Smooth, not excessively heavy on the sherry influence, it meets all expectations and maintains that strong bourbon kick. I adore this and am sad that I will never be able to have it again.

I was initially a bit let down. After opening the bottle, the flavors and taste significantly improved. Brown sugar/cotton candy scent with corresponding flavor notes. A spicy finish too!
