About this bottle

The brand's Barrel Proof whiskey, a high-rye mash bill blend of straight whiskeys offered at cask strength, serves as the foundation for this release. It then undergoes an additional 6-12 months of finishing in a new charred oak barrel. The bottling proof is 100.

Stacy Manning 3.3

Aroma: A mix of spiced orange peel, apple, and somewhat sharp oak. Mouthfeel: Gentle flavors, caramel, mild oak, and a touch of spice. It simply feels sharp and immature. Lacks depth and has a brief finish. Not a standard double oak, and not worth the cost.

Cleo Valdez 4.0

Subtle smoke, pronounced oak, notes of vanilla, leather, initial sweetness with a touch of bitterness at the end. Pleasant over ice.

Sawyer Lancaster 4.0

It reminds me of Henry McKenna. There's a lot of vanilla, less spice than McKenna but still present, and more oak. It's nice.

Randal Bravo 3.5

The aroma is dominated by rye. The taste is upfront rye with a slight burn at the end.

Dallas Kopp 2.8

Tastes like herbal black tea. No intensity, no burn.
