Despite a higher proof, it's smooth, with a pleasant but slightly alcoholic aroma, and an outstandingly balanced taste. The sweetness is just right, with a smooth vanilla caramel flavor and hints of oak and nuts. The taste is so mellow it's nearly perfect for sipping. While I highly value the Seleccion, the Barrel Proof has truly captured my affection.
