The aroma is robust with a pleasant barrel influence, featuring notes of vanilla, butterscotch, crème brûlée, and dates. The taste is not excessively sweet and has a nicely smooth finish. Perhaps it could have been more complex?
This rum strongly resembles brandy; one might mistake it for brandy if tasting it blindfolded. It offers flavors of French vanilla, prunes, raisins, spices, and caramel.
