A pleasant, complex yet approachable whiskey. On the nose, I first detect a sharp, alcoholic scent that quickly gives way to a sweet, fruity aroma, predominantly pear. Upon tasting, the initial sensation mirrors the softened nose – sweet and fruity. However, the spice then emerges, delivering a noticeable warmth. It's not unpleasant, just somewhat surprising after the initial fruitiness. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a gin and tonic with hibiscus tea, offering an herbal tea-like quality combined with the bitterness of tonic. A surprisingly intricate whiskey that, once you settle in, encourages generous pours without you realizing.

Fruity scent and taste. Gentle peat. A mild sharpness at the finish.
