Nose: vanilla, citrus, apple, honey, butter, sweetness, fresh yellow fruits, cooked fruits, and a light almond note. Palate: vanilla, honey, butter, sweetness, woody, spicy, alcoholic warmth, oiliness, and a slight bitterness. Creamy. Finish: medium to long, but not intense. Bitterness and spice are consistent in the finish, but not unpleasant. General Impressions: a good whiskey, balanced and pleasant, enjoyable with ice or even neat. Its buttery aroma is delightful and, for me, one of its highlights. A simple whiskey aimed at those seeking a good blended for tasting.

Lori Bolton 2.8

Dimple Pinch, a blended scotch from the Haig Brothers company, isn't an exceptional whisky, much like Haig Club. I expected more, especially given its 15-year age. The nose attempts to be distinctive but falls short. It has faint smoke notes (more noticeable when smelling the opened bottle), with subtle vanilla, apple, and a very concealed grape aroma. The palate is overwhelmingly hot, masking other flavors, and the finish, while the best part, is merely long and slightly spicy. It could be classified as 'average'.

The Haig The Dimple 15 Year Old Scotch blend presents a promising aroma with hints of stone fruit, sherry, heather, honey, toffee, and a whisper of peat. It enters smoothly, revealing flavors of stone fruit, cinnamon, toffee, and honey on the palate. The extended and intricate finish offers a delightful mix of honey, heather, and warm cinnamon, touched by peat and oak. It's truly divine in the bottle.

Nose: Evokes a woodworking shop, like a violin. Notes of barley and nearly pure dark chocolate. Palate: Warm oats, citrus zest, sweet pear, and oak. Finish: A lasting warmth reminiscent of a copper oil lamp or petroleum.

Much like the standard Dimple, it's quite underestimated for how easily it drinks. My first time with the 15yo, and I really enjoyed it. I probably shouldn't have finished the whole bottle, but the team won and a friend was eager.

Fruity, sherried nose. Sweet honey on the palate, with a peppery finish. Reminds me of Bushmills Black Bush, Aberlour Double Cask, and Glen Garioch 12.
