Gray Skies Michigan Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Corn oil and vegetal notes on the nose, with a hint of corn starch that became apparent after a relative mentioned it. These characteristics carry through to the palate with little else developing. It's very easy to drink. There's a very subtle, pleasant fruity note at the back that I couldn't pinpoint, suggesting it might improve with more time in the cask, as I'm quite certain my bottle is no older than the minimum two years indicated by Grey Skies. It bore a resemblance to Hudson Baby Bourbon, which I don't favor. The taste is too young for my preference.

Grey Skies has rebranded to Eastern Kille Distillery. This is a straightforward bourbon. Spicy at the beginning but not overwhelming. It doesn't have a lot of flavor depth, but the bottle suggests it might not be aged for 4 years. A slightly medicinal aftertaste. Shows potential. Worth revisiting once they've had more time to develop and age their products longer.
