Nose: Lovely banana sweetness with hints of vanilla and touches of darker molasses sweetness. The oak is present but subtle. No significant alcohol burn despite the cask strength. Palate: A great mix of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The proof is quite noticeable, so I added a bit of water, which helped reduce the burn without diminishing the flavors. It has a great, substantial mouthfeel. A really excellent blend of sweet and spice, enjoyable to sip after cutting the alcohol slightly. Finish: Sweet and salty nuttiness (predominantly sweet) combined with woody oak notes. Very satisfying, making you want another sip.
