The nose is the most complex part of the whiskey, starting with obvious aromas like sweet maple and vanilla. This would make the whiskey comparable to many others on the market, were it not for a third aroma that was recognized but could not be identified by several people involved in this tasting. The third aroma (perhaps Play-Doh?), remains unidentified and unlabeled, yet everyone agreed they recall the scent from somewhere in their life. The palate tastes of cinnamon raisin bread which blends wonderfully with the medium finish that also mirrors the palate. Overall, the intrigue of the third “unknown” aroma (again, maybe Play-Doh?) on the nose, and the finish reminiscent of hot buttery raisin bread, make this a fantastic introductory and amazing everyday sipper for the Whiskey drinker.
