Grassotti Torino Vermouth di Torino

A distinct, Aromatized Wine created from a mix of Italian red wines and plant components, including Piedmontese gentian, hops flowers, wormwood, aloe, rhubarb, grapefruit, ginger, and vanilla. It begins aromatically with hints of cooked fruits, flowers, nuts, herbs, and spices; its bold middle adds notes of red wine and candied citrus zest; and it finishes long and distinctly with notes of spice cake and almonds. I'm quite fond of this. My palate prefers it over Carpano Antica, although that's likely an uncommon view. It performs excellently in cocktails such as Manhattans, Negronis, and Boulevardiers.

The aroma has lightly spiced wine, oregano, grape, and mint. Moderately sweet on the palate with herbal notes and a hint of spice. Overall, it's flavorful, light, and enjoyable on its own. Solid.
