The palate lacks complexity; 'rich simplicity' is an apt description. Hints of smoke and peat appear intermittently. The finish is smooth, evoking fresh apples. A few drops of water introduce a slight brininess and saltiness, but it doesn't significantly enhance the experience. The pricing is appropriate.

I hesitated to award extra points due to its affordable price, as the taste is adequate for what it is. However, it holds its own against spirits costing twice as much. I'm eager to sample other offerings from this producer.
