Glen Scotia 12 Year (Discontinued)

This is a tasty spirit, obtained based on a suggestion from a certain website. The recommender found its flavor profile so unusual that he'd not experienced anything like it in 15 years. I'm uncertain of the reason, as it displays standard, pleasing whisky characteristics. It offers a smooth sweetness and pleasant aroma on the nose, with abundant scents of confectionery, desserts, and dried fruit, and it goes down very smoothly. It's sweet and aromatic; crème brûlée comes to mind as a dessert flavor, and it's enjoyable. Its flavor range might be considered somewhat less complex, but it's quite charming and effortless to consume. It's quality stuff, not exhibiting much of the Campbeltown character found in Kilkerran. I plan to continue sampling it to observe its evolution.

A perfect blend of salt, malt, and sweetness, resembling a pretzel dipped in toffee. While not overly intricate, the harmony between the malt and the sea is delightful.

The color is like maize corn. Smooth and sweet, with hints of honey and ripe fruit. An everyday drinker.

Sweet caramel notes mingle with salty sea spray. A personal favorite.

The aroma is sweet and tastes of caramel. The flavor is somewhat bitter, but mild.
