Gin Vogel

Vogel is a Brazilian gin created at the Bautzen Brewery in Itatiaiaçu, Minas Gerais. It embodies a free and adventurous spirit, celebrating freedom and encouraging boldness and the pursuit of novelty. The local environment is crucial to the distillate's identity, both in terms of ingredients (botanicals for gin) and the inherent character of its production site, carrying symbolic and historical weight. This led to a distinct approach, diverging from conventional bottles and labels while retaining the essence of Minas Gerais. The entire identity and packaging were conceived, from the unique bottle resembling an explorer's canteen to the "Hot Stamp" finishing symbolizing exploration, and a textured label that evokes adventure. The only potential issue is the name: Vogel is also a German gin name. If exported to Europe, the Brazilian gin might need a name change. Tasting notes: Juniper shares prominence with various harmonizing botanicals, offering distinctiveness and complexity. Prominent citrus notes, coriander, allspice, lemongrass, and lemon peel create a balance between herbaceous and fragrant citrus elements.
