Gin Mare Capri

The citrus notes are immediate and prominent on the palate, delivering a vibrant and fresh lemon essence. The basil emerges after a minute, and the juniper provides a cooling sensation towards the end. The body is moderately soft, with a smooth and cheerful entry. We especially enjoyed the liveliness and Mediterranean character of the botanicals. This gin is exceptionally thirst-quenching and ideal for warm-weather cocktails.

I finally located this. I have wanted to sample it for ages. The nose presents deep, intense lemon and lime, both the fruit and peel, with the expected thyme and rosemary, plus sage, grape, and juniper. The palate offers tart lemon/lime, bitter peel, and semi-sweet lemon, along with herbs.

This is the finest contemporary botanical gin I have ever sampled. The botanicals are incorporated with exceptional precision. I would treat myself to a gin and tonic every Saturday after my shift. An incredible gin!

Far too intense. Enjoyable with tonic water.
