The unique artwork on my bottle could signify a different bottling run, so your experience may vary, but... yes. I was a huge fan of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" when I read it in high school (and, naturally, the film adaptation as well), so Ken Kesey, the Merry Pranksters, and their bus, Furthur, have long captivated me. Without that knowledge, my aunt and uncle gifted me a bottle of this simply because it was recommended to them at the store they visited. I was both thankful for the present and somewhat doubtful – a sourced bourbon with what seemed like novelty branding? You know what? It's quite good. Fitting for a whiskey named after the journey in "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test," this dram has a vibrant, striking quality – bold, bright spice is the primary characteristic, accompanied by light brown sugar, pecan pie, and caramel notes. For a 50.5% abv bottling, it has almost no heat. It might be sourced, but it's from the best – MGP knows their craft. I wouldn't spend excessively on this, but if it's available for $40 or less, I'd say it's a reasonable purchase.
