**Smell** Lemon zest, orange peel, and candy, with a touch of wood spice and cinnamon. Dried fruits like mango and plum, vanilla, powdered sugar, and a hint of incense. A very faint floral note at the end. The aroma changes over time, becoming layered yet powerful. Notably, there are some unique roasted coffee bean notes. **Taste** A rush of sweet lemon and orange, enhanced by spice and the tartness of citrus peels. There's a slight acidity and a balanced oak presence that shifts into sweet vanilla, crème brûlée, and then cocoa. The vanilla and burnt sugar are particularly rich, even more so than Stagg 22a, but are balanced by the oak and rye spice. The harmony of savory, sweet, bitter, and slightly tart flavors is remarkable. **Finish** The finish is medium-long, offering a balanced combination of rye spice, sweetness, and crème brûlée. **Summary** This is the finest bourbon-style whiskey I have ever tasted. The balance and intensity of the flavors are exceptional. However, I am reducing the score slightly due to a minor astringency/acidity/bitterness in the finish, similar to over-steeped black tea, which is noticeable but not unpleasant.

I've only had one glass from the bottle, and it will require a few more to fully appreciate this. However, with just one pour, it has reshaped my expectations for whiskey. Given the immense complexity this whiskey offers, you'd anticipate finding some note you disliked. Good luck with that. This whiskey is genuinely a masterclass in blending and finishing. Absolutely outstanding!
Wow, so much happening. An intense roller coaster. The latter half of the palate before the finish is where the magic happens. This stuff is good. I've never gotten a blueberry note before, but that's one of the many notes this has in abundance.
Very enjoyable from the nose and palate through to the finish. Good mouthfeel...holds its own. No flaws.
Subtle notes are overwhelmed by ethanol
