About this bottle

Flecha Azul is a brand of 100% blue weber agave tequila. It was co-founded by professional golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez, with actor and producer Mark Wahlberg becoming a principal investor in 2022. Produced in Jalisco, Mexico, the agaves are cooked in brick ovens and undergo a 72-hour fermentation. Following double distillation, the añejo tequila ages for 18 months in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before bottling.

Leanna Larkin 3.8

The añejo is American whiskey aged for 18 months. It has a full body and a rich mahogany color. We can detect a strong presence of oak and whiskey. Highly recommended for whiskey aficionados looking to transition into tequila. Bold aromas of oak, spice, vanilla, and charcoal are present, with almost no agave on the nose. These flavors carry through with a strong presence of vanilla and oak. Hints of dried fruits and nuts, along with a strong spicy finish that lingers and warms the chest. I gave this a low rating due to the almost non-existent agave component.
