The immediate impression is its abundant flavor, a welcome surprise. I've recently sampled several where the alcohol was the dominant sensation. I'm still figuring out my exact feelings about the taste... but since flavor is clearly the focus, it earns bonus points. For now, I'd say it's superior to the typical bourbon.
